Be Brave and Curious

Part of building my own business means I decide what I value. I also need to inspire myself to take action that might not be in my toolkit yet. “Be Brave and Curious” has been a motto and aspiration these last few months. I hope you find some value in it also.

Be Brave and Curious

Brave means:

  • Be your authentic self
  • Stand up for what you believe
  • Champion yourself and others
  • Challenge yourself
  • Step outside your comfort zone
  • Be adventurous
  • Create the map
  • Take action
  • Allow yourself to be vulnerable
  • Make glorious mistakes and learn from them
  • Try again

Curious means:

  • The antithesis of judgement (no overlay of good or bad – just acceptance that it is)
  • Ask questions and listen to others
  • Seek wisdom and understanding
  • Grow and learn
  • Play and experiment
  • Admit that you don’t have all the answers
  • Be open to outcome
  • Invite opportunity from unlikely places
  • Try new and strange ideas
  • Show interest
  • Expect bewilderment and delight

Be Brave and Curious,
Hannah

Firstly, thank you so much for checking out my site. My work is intended as a gift and share it as I work toward a new level of bravery. The art is hand-drawn (mostly). It will have mistakes and asymmetry but it is honest and human. I am a wife and mother, an explorer, a wanderer, an investigator, an artist - driven by curiosity and an unquenchable desire to learn. We are in a very special part of this journey in that this blog is young and small. You're here, on the ground floor. I'd love to meet you - please get in touch and let me know a little about yourself. What do you wish you learned in school?
